Tim Cook Recognizes CollaNote as a Vietnamese App Making Global Impact

During Apple CEO Tim Cook’s visit to Hanoi in April 2024, he met with Vietnamese developers and creators behind CollaNote, ELSA Speak, Bootloader Studio, and Antiantiart.

The meeting highlighted Vietnam’s growing developer community and the local products reaching users around the world. Speaking to VnExpress, Tim Cook praised the energy and enthusiasm of Vietnamese developers and shared his belief that meaningful products often begin by solving real problems.

Sharing the CollaNote Story With Tim Cook

Representing CollaNote, founder Nguyễn Quốc Huy shared how the app began during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, when remote learning made it difficult for students to write, draw, and work together on assignments.

That challenge inspired CollaNote: a digital space where students could take notes, collaborate, and easily export their work.

During the meeting, CollaNote also showcased how the app has evolved with tools for handwriting, flashcards, translation, synchronized audio recording, and real-time collaboration.

A Meaningful Milestone for CollaNote

Meeting Tim Cook marked a special milestone for CollaNote — from solving a real study problem to representing Vietnam’s growing developer community on the global stage.
